This weekend has been great and full of hanging out with friends, going to the movies and great food 🙂 but I am glad it is monday and I can settle down and focus on my skating and school work. yesterday I took a “rest day” from the gym and only did a one hour yoga class because I have worked out everyday for so many days and I felt like I got kicked in the ribs ( I get really sore from running sometime)
lately I have been trying to save money and trying to eat up more of the food I already have, so if my food post get a little boring I apologize.

for lunch I had pumpkin oats with carob chips and a banana hiding under the oats
snacked on a new treat 🙂
I normally use kelp noodles for when I make my raw phad thai, but like I said I need to use up stuff I have
such a good and filling meal!

Do you take rest days from the gym? I know it is important but being an athlete I feel like I should be fine working out everyday.
I finally found the last of the christmas teas that I have been looking for today! plus practice was great and I’m getting excited for the competition next month 🙂 I need to work even harder than I am now, off skates and on skates!

so I had a toasted earth grain bun with nutbutters and I also had a second apple 😉
I should be getting my bum to the gym, but I feel like I should play some video games first! I just need to get motivated 🙂
I think I might go to the movies tonight, maybe that will motivate me to go workout 😉 What motivates you?

what’s everyone doing for the weekend? I am volunteering at Clothes for Kids and my first day is tomorrow, and I’m pretty excited 🙂
okay so I am officially over my funk! with school starting and skating getting more intense there is no time to be in a bad mood. So the happy-go-lucky skater is back! hopefully you all had a great christmas and new years 🙂 I have to get to class now but I will do a real post when I return 🙂
I know I know… the holidays are a wonderful time of year, blah blah blah… but it’s really only wonderful if you have famille or someone to spend it with. I use to love Christmas so much, and it’s not that I don’t love it now it just it doesn’t feel like christmas at all. But on the bright side I did just find out that they are having hot yoga @ 10am on christmas morning! sweet! so I do have something to look forward to 🙂
I am not sure what to make for christmas dinner… but I’m thinking something untraditional like Thai or indian
I normally only drink my coffee black, but this stuff is AMAZING!

this is not something I would recommend, it has a very fake taste, but hey it kept me full for my workout at the gym

Have you ever spent christmas alone? if so what did you do?
I officially love hot yoga! but it was a bad idea to go before skate practice because it drained all my energy for the rest of the day. I don’t have skating today so it has been pretty low-key, went to the gym this morning, went grocery shopping at like 4 different stores ( I love bargains, and hate to pay full price for anything) but it’s all good since I’m a dork and kinda like to grocery shop 🙂 Anywho I have hot yoga again tonight 🙂 in about an hour and then I have a hot date with season two of Grey’s Anatomy!

Thanks for the nice comments 🙂 they really did cheer me up. I am slowly getting back to my old self, but the holidays are just hard when you are on your own.
I got up early this morning to go to Hot Yoga! but the instructor did not show up, so everyone gets a free class so that pretty cool I guess. I am pretty excited to go tomorrow morning, hopefully I will still have enough energy to skate for 3 hours and go to the gym after 🙂
